Scam HMRC tax rebate due to Covid. HMRC do not have my phone number so quite obvious. Avoid anything referring to Covid unless you know for absolute certain it is genuine. Also, remember Covid jabs are FREE. Dump anything that appears to ask for payment or similar details.

Consider it DANGEROUS, if you answer, they know that your number is active, sell your number on, and you will be bombarded, they will log your times on answering and build a profile of you, and eventually you are bait. Called our TPS registered number yesyerday trying to sell their accountancy services. The female caller became rude and agressive when told the number was TPS registered and I ended the call. Despite knowing the number was TPS registered she (or another woman) called again today. Clearly they have no respect for others.
Called me awhile ago and I told them to do one so they contacted my elderly mother direct she is terrible memory problems the start of onset dementia they reduced her to tears threatening if she doesn?t pay now she?ll occur further bank charges I?m so so angry I had to rush to my mums and done 1471 when I tried to call it back it won?t connect. I?m so sick of cold callers targeting my elderly mum and persuading her to give bank details

This number appears to be from 2Touch, a direct marketing company. In my case they were calling on behalf of EDF Energy in response to a complaint, so it was a legitimate call.
SCAM - Saying my National Insurance Number was compromised.
These (annoying) people ring me several times a day, obviously trying to sell you something probably. I rang BT today, there is nothing they can do!!! apart from my changing my number, which I had had for 28 years. I am piddled off with these parasites ringing me ......
it is from Russia, saying that I had been fraudulently using my national insurance number, it is the international crim unit, and if I don't press one to speak to an operator my NI number will be suspended and I will be arrested. I didn't press one, I just hung up. Hope the KGB don't turn up on my doorstep!

Typical scam call received from 01332 681 582 (Derby!) when pushed for location he said London(!). Asserted I'd had a monjor vehicle collision claim and wanted to berify. He refused to provide ME with MY contact details. Conclusion - scammers/insurance fraud time wasters.

LAdy pretending to be from telephone preference service, gives you your name, address and postcode. Then says preference service rewuires you to renew your membership giving the existing Debit card details. Then asks for the details - I refused. At this point line went dead.
