These people keep phoning claiming they are the support for my internet providers. How do I get rid of them? I ask them which IP since I have 3, one of which is a bank, and I have 3 modems in my house. That normally makes them swear at me and hang up. The other method is to ask them which IP they are calling about, and when they say one, true or not, I say that the account is set up with a security word and they must confirm that before I can talk to them. They swear and hang up. They are always from India,

Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily. Also, my advice is not to take up credit or accept a credit cards from Vanquis Bank as they are extremely aggressive in their debt collection. Do the research and see how unhappy peo

Fraud SCAM The caller claimed to be from mobile phone promotion department offering a discount. Caller identified himself as energy savings company in Great Yarmouth, and asked if I was home owner. I told him I d had a call from them a week ago and had said I wasn t interested in solar panels. He then tried to interest me in energy savings from govt scheme for new efficient boilers. Repeatedly offered me a free evaluation which I declined, then he hung up (politely) when he saw he wasn t persuading me.

Claims to be a debt collection agency on behalf of Paypal (Yes I do have an ongoing dispute with Paypal), Google seems to support this fact. However after he asked me to confirm security details, I told him no - and I will only discuss/deal with Paypal direct. He told me I d receive a letter and email from them, again I said unless it comes from Paypal - I ain t dealing with you. Caller hung up.

Recorded female indian message saying my ip address had been compromised and to press 1 on my phone to report to a BT technician. I believe it to be a phishing scam, and pressed nothing and hung up the phone.
