Press one to speak to advisor. they Jam my phone line, so when I put phone down and try to block the last number. they ring thru to an advisor claiming to be Peter from Openreach. I put the phone down again, and they still on the call when I retry within 10sec.
Asked for remittence for a non-existent bill.

I note that this number has been cloned and this number showed up today and was Talk Talk (so they said) and I had problems with my router. I blocked so they called on another number a few hours later.

Received call about 4.10pm 28-08-2020, lifted receiver and spoke , but received no acknowledgement , just several voices speaking in the distance in an enclosed space ,such as an office, since there was no response i hung up and called callprotect to blacklist caller.
SCAM Caller claimed to be from Domestic insurance and the insurance on my electrical appliances was about to run out and they needed my card details to reinsure, After running my own appliance repair company for over 30 years, I wouldn’t be a very engineer if I need to insure my own appliances. Had a call from 01497 874850. From BT Openreach regarding untrustworthy downloads from Facebook / Google. Wanted me to connect to a page on internet to check security has not been compromised. When challenged (ie no problems noticed, I would not connect to any page while on the phone - I would contact BT myself), they hung up. Obvious telemarketing / scamming.
It is my BB provider and they ask me 2 charaters out of the security question I set up with them and my surname for data protection before discussing my account. I must say the person I spoke to was friendly and actually gave me a discount on my current deal, did not try n sell me more stuff which was good.

No, not a scam. It's the Liverpool branch number of insureTaxi.
I was reciving calls from this number and was confused when i saw it was a london chippy. I phoned them and spoke to them apparently someone is using their number to phone people they don't phone people themselves. If you receive a call from this number it is not the chippy staff calling you so be aware.
