Indian man, after giving an English name,says he is calling from BT Technical Dept.I know that there is no such Department within the BT organisation!!I said goodbye and put the phone down!! I seldom get nuisance cals these days but as soon as I have time I Google them to check authenticity, then put them on the Truecall if not trusted. Recorded message claiming to be hard told to press 1 didn't of course evidently a scam beware!!
Started by asking for my wife. Told her she wasn't in. Then confirmed my name, said he was offering a call blocker for unrecognised calls for free. Mentioned that I paid for my phone bill by direct debit (who doesn't?) and then listed a load of banks, none of them mine. When I laughed he got annoyed and asked why. When I told him I didnt have any banks of that name, did he just want my sort code and account number, he was talking over me and telling me to listen!!! Cut him off. Be warned.
this number is for a ulez payment but is a con i paid a charge of £17.50 and is on my bank statement as ULEZSERVICE but my ulez charge has not been paid on the receipt is this number every time i call picked up and cut of never have i spoken to any one i would never have known unless i called tfl and asked why they took £17.50 instead of £12.50 where i now have a £80.00 charge so this scam has cost me almost £100.00
