I just had a call from them & never picked it up. Assuming from all the comments on here, it sounds like it is Vodafone trying to get hold of the owner of all new phones to either check the service is ok or to check something else. Call was from someone claiming to be from "the consumer unit" when I told him I wasn t interested and to remove my​ number from the database, he hung up on me.. How rude!!!

I have been getting regular calls from this number. The first few times I told them I wasn t interested and to remove my number, requests not actioned. Different people same spiel! Obviously an offshore telemarketing operation located in Asia somewhere. Have given up hanging up. They use other numbers too because I now recognise their voices. I have blocked this number and several of their other numbers. They simply get another number and try again!!!

Got an unsolicited call from this number. Did not pick up the phone but dialled 1471 to find out the number that had called me. Turned out to be Solution Marketing of Nottingham so I have complained to the TPS with whom my landline is registered.

Even not picking up the call, these scammers continue to have rung every day for the past 2 weeks. Will they even stop...and TPS, well don t want to know!
