SCAM- 0128 240981 I've been bombarded by calls from similar 0128 numbers for past couple weeks. I finally answered this one today (28th October) and it was a lady with an oversees accent with echoey background noise saying she was from the National Debtline. She knew my name and kept asking me to confirm it but I didn't and I kept asking who she was then hung up when she said she was from the debtline. They don't cold call you and it's a totally different number so I blocked it.

I received very threatening messages on WhatsApp from this number and a couple of phone calls.

Sorry for repeating my reviews but it is the only way I can correct my error in accidentally rating it Positive. It is a dangerous scam using an automated voice claiming to be bank security.

Called me in Portugal saying I had shown interest in their Swiss finance company. I asked where they got my number they said I had given it to them. I said I had not and they got cross with me saying where did they get the number from then?

One of those 'hi mum I've smashed my phone' etc. I don't have kids!

The number = 01709889223, this number phoned me today (at 13:08 on 1st March 2022) and the caller stated they were from BT OUTBOUND ringing about my telephone. They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls. I checked online and the number was listed as Indian and Rotherham based. Call claiming to be Bank Security. Called yesterday using a different number. Both sounded like scams.

I had a call on 1/30/2023 from 44+ 0141 628 5948 and the phone number I was a scam they was trying to see what company I was with on my sim card and they was trying to get my bank details because they said my iPhone been hacked and I need a new one and they wanted my bank details.

SPAM phishing for personal data

Male non english accent called my landline from 07342065763 17 Jan 2023. Stated he was from Amazon security and that he had emailed me as someone had ordered a £600 phone on my account. I asked whose name was on the account as he said it was my name. I asked again whose name and he said D Maddison. When I say they don't live here he hung up. Obviously has some old phone records.

This number is embedded in a fake Tesco invoice pdf. Its a phishing email designed to scare you into thinking someone is buying iPhones with your account.

They sent me this text… hey mum I smashed my phone and I'm using a friends phone to msg you their phone is about to die, can you whatsapp me on 07985152756 I tried calling on withheld to both numbers and neither work. SCAM

The caller was warning me of dangerous transactions on my card. Amazon and overseas transactions. My bankers would not deal with this sort of matter by phoning my home phone number.
