I have had at least 5 calls from this number in 2 days with reference to a tax refund I am supposed to pick up from the post office ...... Foreign sounding caller who knew my name claims to be calling from London. I gave up at that point.

Why doesn t anyone do something about these calls? They really do annoy a lot of people and I am sure someone somewhere can stop these scammers. Why should we allow this to happen with the technology we have today? They are out to commit fraud and they should be stopped. So let us all get together and do something and just go along with whatever they ask but give them a lot of lies. JUst give them a false name and keep them on the line for as long as you can. Typical scam call received from 01332 681 582 (Derby!) when pushed for location he said London(!). Asserted I'd had a monjor vehicle collision claim and wanted to berify. He refused to provide ME with MY contact details. Conclusion - scammers/insurance fraud time wasters.

This number called my 93-year old mother-in-law at about 07:45 hrs. She told them that she couldn’t hear them. They called her back a couple of times, and tried to get her to do something on her iPad. She said she’d have to get her son-in-law to call them as she didn’t understand them. They haven’t called again since. Incident reported to local police as a vulnerable person is being targeted. This number has now been reported to BT security who have blocked it nationwide.
