I recieved a call from this number today to my landline phone, with caller display. As the number was not recognised I didn't answer. There was no message left. On checking the number, it appears to be a scam. The call was supposedly from BT.

I can see at leat 4 numbers from the same range reported here with the same problem, people be really aware of this, if you pick it up double-check all info you provide them with...01614646170, 01614646171, ... all the same call centre.

Fraud - supposedly Amazon, telling me I owe them over a £1000. Four calls from four different numbers already today - starting at 7.30am this morning. Keep blocking but they keep calling!!!
Caller asked me if I remember the car accident I’d had? Well, unless I’m concussed and / or lost my memory as a result of it … then no, I can’t remember it due to not actually having an accident. An Asian (oriental) sounding voice speaking barely understandable pigeon English. Readers can make up their own mind if the call was a Scam but in my mind the caller is already burning in hell in the eternal fire. Love and peace

SCAM Three phone calls in four hours from someone who claimed to be from Amazon, saying an i.pad was waiting for me if I hadn't ordered it press number 1 to speak with his supervisor who take loads of details and stop it being sent, please don't hesitate to hang up. Dean from The Digital Team asked for me by name and said it was in relation to insurance for our Sky equipment and mentioned the password (which was one I ve used in the past). I challenged him as being a scammer (how else does he know my old password unless they ve hacked my or a company s account) and he hung up when I asked for his phone number.

My call intercepter did not put this call through. There has to be a person on the end of the line not just an autodialling system as they have to give a name before it is transferred to me to accept or decline. Sorry I am unable to shed any light as to who this firm is, but I guess it is cold call selling (despite being registered with TPS) or could be a scam, either way I do not want to have anything to do with them.
