I repeated my question. She said "The RPA" or "The RTA". I asked if this was an official government agency and she said "Yes". I asked which part of government and she said "Yes". Was told the caller was a surveyor and that he was checking about our loft insulation. He seemed to have had access to the time we had it done and also our address. He asked when it was done and was it part of the Government scheme as there was a problem with fibreglass. The line then went dead, but the call was still active as I could see the raised phone sign on my handset Very strange and also very worrying! Didn t give any further info info and hung up as soon as I realised.
SCAM - Text received from this number purporting to be from Barclays Bank. Tells me I have added new payee, despite me not banking with Barclays. Link included in text presumably for harvesting bank details.

Usual ask by name, newver confirm just ask who they were, Scottish sounding chap confirmed the Green Advisory Service. Laughed in his face, told him I was signed upto the TPS, and I work designing roofing and I knew that it was a con, and never to call me again. Then blocked the number. Must get round to reporting these con artists, for all the good it does!
