from looking online i m assuming its some kind of scam debt collector, i don t tend to pick up phone if i don t know number, but i checked number online in case it was job centre or something, but apparantly its some kind of cold caller, waste of time talkin to these ppl if in fact u get to talk to a real person, most of time its auto msg and u get asked to call back, not happenin

Just been called by this number to inform me my emails are being used by someone in the usa and if I follow his instructions through my computer we can solve this together. Bloody nice chap! However I do know that once connected to your computer they can lock you out unless you make payments to them. SCAM me thinks. Asian guy rang and half way through the conversation he started to actually abuse me using the F word. And that was because I was being slightly awkward (due to the nature of the call). Nevertheless, I m sure it doesn t give him the right to start swearing down the phone. Told him he needed to be professional and brush up on his manners and he hung up (after swearing again).

I don t know why they give out 0843 numbers because they all seem to be used for these types of premium rate scams. If you register for the non-existant prize draw you are charged huge sums for every message you get from them until all of your phone credit is gone.
