Got a message from this number, wary of scamming I didn't press any numbers but waited, after a short wait, message was reminding me of eye test appointment

This caller claims to be calling from BT Openreach stating that someone tried has changed the IP address of my computer. The caller is highly argumentative and continued to try and push a false narrative, even though I made them aware I knew it was a scam. I hung up, blocked the number and reported it to BT. Please note BT OPENREACH DOES NOT CALL CUSTOMERS.

I suspect it s a fishing exercise to gather info we may seem to think is harmless but gives clues to passwords bank details and so on the first question was who do I bank with and do I bank online I am deeply suspicious of anyone asking about any of my financial details unsolicited as banks don t call asking my details so no-one else should either

SCAM / SPAM Long pause at the start to begin the recording, then very dodgy sounding HMRC call, you have a fraud case open in your name, press 1 to connect to advisor, not pressing 1 will trigger an arrest warrant! Note to the spammers, at least make it sound real when you play the message!

Had this number, 01619390228 call me a few times recently, they don t let the phone ring very long, have never left a voice message and on trying to call the number I get an engaged tone, will try to get to my phone quicker next time to answer, reckon it s a scam call, shouldn t be allowed !! A call well away from the area I live, claiming to be dealing with energy supplies in my area, and problems with Government grants for loft insulation, but a problem has been found causing damp and mould in the loft insulation. An offer is made to check and replace the loft insulation, to then be charged for work that is simply not required.

Scam National Insurance Scam saying NI number has been compromised. Automated message, no doubt wanting the victim of the call to press one to be connected to scammers. I put the phone down when I heard the message and cut off the call. Having seen resent warnings about this scam, I was already aware of it. Don't act on the call and hang up. Government bodies don't call people in this way. BEWARE. DANGEROUS.
