I ve received a call on my mobile phone today from 0161 939 0236 telling me that I ve had a loan and I m entitled to a refund plus interest because I was mis sold the loan. In the first place neither my husband or myself have had a loan from our bank or on any credit card. The caller went on to name all the credit cards that I could own and from any bank (naming banks) that I may have had a card or loan from. Have now been Called over 17 times, sometimes twice daily by supposed ACM on the following numbers 01619743531 01924928072 02036870287 01619743443, 02036870287, 02037387300, 0203687029, 02036870292 I have reported to ICO, however after googling I feel this is a scam or illicit company as there is no online trace. the most recent time I was called I stated I had reported to ICO and feel harassed I was told to calm down and the operater became aggressive. Report all calls to ICO!!!

Claimed to be Amazon, saying I’d bought a gift card for £49.99 and they wanted to check this was correct, and if it wasn’t did I want to cancel the order. I said it wasn’t me and I’d like to cancel (but was already suspicious - who buys a gift card for £49.99, rather than £50?!), then they started asking about which device I’d like the refund processed via. When I asked more questions about my concerns that this was a scam call they hung up.
