I ve received a call on my mobile phone today from 0161 939 0236 telling me that I ve had a loan and I m entitled to a refund plus interest because I was mis sold the loan. In the first place neither my husband or myself have had a loan from our bank or on any credit card. The caller went on to name all the credit cards that I could own and from any bank (naming banks) that I may have had a card or loan from. Also where on earth have these people had my mobile telephone number from. It seems after speaking

Hi Ive just rung the number I read above - 0207 1750125. I spoke to a man called ~Barry who said that I had applied for a loan. Fraud Call - I got a called from this number saying they were from O2 and offering me a 40% discount on my bill. They said I would receive a code from them and to read it out to them. SCAM / SPAM Received a text from this number, +44 7377 428622, saying that I was due a refund from HMRC and providing a link to click on to start the claim process. Fairly clearly a malicious link so I deleted the text - suggest any other recipients do likewise.
