I received a call from this number just now. He said he was from a company called Technical Help Service and told me my computer had a virus. He tried to convince me using various methods including running the eventvwr (the errors listed there are not related to viruses!) This is identical to the well known Windows Technical Helpdesk scam. Constantly calling....and not leaving a message. Calls vary from 3-5 a day!! Grrrrrrr.

I suffer from amnesia due to an accident I had in the last two years. The person that called me brought the horrendous memories back. My wailing due to the months I lost in hospital were too much and they hung up. I need the compensation to get some of my life back... wished they d return my calls.

Indian voice said from Microsoft. Told him to get lost. He said that because I was uncooperative he was going to block my computer, he was full of threats. That got me really going and I told him to get on and block it (there is NO way he could). After me making more comments to him he rang off. I think this is probably a Nigerian scammer who has been able to tack himself onto an English telephone number.

Constant missed calls for a week. I answered and it was a polite lady from Vodafone trying to sell me something. She knew my name as I am a customer. When I said I was busy she said she will call back another time. This number does not appear on the Vodafone authorised numbers list although it is only one digit out from a lot of their numbers.
