SCAM - Recorded call from "Amazon" about an expensive new purchase.
SCAM - Unsolicited phone call from a number I didn't recognise. Answered but didn't speak and heard only silence. After five seconds the call hung up so no doubt an automated system that waits to hear someone's voice. Without a doubt a scam.

I ve received 3 calls from these idiots - two I failed to answer but after reading posts on sites like this decided, for my own amusement, to answer on the third call. SCAM supposed call from Microsoft, when questioned they said they were from Reading (this is a Cambridge number) they then Became very aggressive when I suggested this was a scam beware
Automated call From local number. Message said fraudulent transaction has been found on VISA, press 1 to cancel this transaction. After hanging up at this point, the caller appeared to stay on the line for a couple of minutes to catch me making an outgoing call to my bank. Verified this by calling my landline from a mobile which rang engaged, a short time later I tested my landline again and it was clear.
