This was a scam call from a woman with foreign accent claiming to be from TalkTalk. She cut the call as soon as I challenged her.

Definitely a scam. BT, Openreach, TalkTalk, Virgin etc., will never call you about a technical issue unless you contact them.

Usual ask by name, newver confirm just ask who they were, Scottish sounding chap confirmed the Green Advisory Service. Laughed in his face, told him I was signed upto the TPS, and I work designing roofing and I knew that it was a con, and never to call me again. Then blocked the number. Must get round to reporting these con artists, for all the good it does!

Woman called to say "We have been informed you were in a road traffic accident which wasn t your fault, can you tell me when this happened?". I said "Who told you this?" She repeated the above? I repeated my question. She said "The RPA" or "The RTA". I asked if this was an official government agency and she said "Yes". I asked which part of government and she said "Yes". They have called twice left message once and sent me two emails concerning a debt for plusnet. I contacted plusnet who confirmed no outstanding debt and that this was a scam.
