Call purporting to be Talk-Talk saying I had a problem on my internet. Probably the usual scam to try and hack my computer and then chanrge me a fortune to solve the problem that the cretins have caused. Heavily accented asian voice which is typical as I ve had several calls of this nature in the past.

Fraud, The number sent a text message saying a voice mail is received and call back to listen. However, this kind of voice mail notification should be sent by EE but not he number itself. Called back but hung up immediately the moment I realised this. Definitely some scam or fishing.

I have received two calls on my mobile number how did 01437 608207 AMS Nationwide get my number? and had 'no incoming facilities' so I was not able to leave a message.

it is from Russia, saying that I had been fraudulently using my national insurance number, it is the international crim unit, and if I don't press one to speak to an operator my NI number will be suspended and I will be arrested. I didn't press one, I just hung up. Hope the KGB don't turn up on my doorstep!

Consider it DANGEROUS, if you answer, they know that your number is active, sell your number on, and you will be bombarded, they will log your times on answering and build a profile of you, and eventually you are bait. Phoned to tell me my washing machine warranty has expired and they're sending me the new paperwork by Royal Mail. Read out to me my name and address and when I confirmed these was going to pass me to her "supervisor" to complete a form. Asked her to tell me what brand of washing machine I've actually got. Unsurprisingly she hung up. Don't know what the scam was going to be but clearly there is one

This is a scam - they claim to be HMRC (although he pronounced it HRMC!) and are asking for student tax to be paid. I told them that I am 16 and not working and therefore not eligible for tax. He - an Indian sub continent accented person - insisted I have to pay it until I informed him that I actually work for HMRC and this is a scam. He admitted it was and rang off. NOTE: I don't work for HMRC and I am not 16. BEWARE!!!!
