Silent call The owners of this number need to learn how to use an autodialler properly. Twice today (so far) I've picked up phone to silence at the other end. Whatever they're selling, I'd be reluctant to buy from a company that makes silent calls because they can't set up an autodialler correctly. Clue: You need people at YOUR end to speak to those who pick up. Amateurs!

Fraud SCAM The caller claimed to be from mobile phone promotion department offering a discount. I established that the caller was a fraud and called them out at which point they stopped being polite and friendly and began to taunt and be abusive. This call has been reported to the UK National Cyber Security Centre.

This person has whatsapped me a few times in the middle of the night just to say hi. I live in South Africa and do not know him at all. Today he whatsapped me again and even called me! I read in the press that the STAR 9500 smartphone has been found to have a factory installed trojan virus. So I disabled my STAR 9500 and moved the sim card to an old phone. A few days later the old phone reported a missed call and a text message. The message was just this number. I didn t call it back.

Claimed to be calling from BT about my internet - even though BT is not my internet provider, she claimed BT provided the infrastructure (but did not mention openreach). Claimed my computer was creating security alerts every time I logged on but she cut the call as soon as I asked what my IP address was. Clearly fraudulent
