They had my name but stopped speaking mid-sentence before they said where they were from and then hung up. I heard call centre noise after they stopped speaking.

I was asked to speak tot he business owner so knew straight away it was a cold call to which I said no thank you and put the phone down. To which the caller rang back and was somewhat aggressive the next time stating that I had put the phone down on him and that he would e-mail my director telling him what I had done then proceeded to hang up on me. Having read the previous comment, there is no surprise why he behaved in this way!

A woman rang saying she was from St Helens; some recycleing company. Said she could get a grant for windows, doors conservatories or boilers. Said she would ring back later. Immediatley the phone went down a man rang. Think this is some kind of hard sell/ scam type of call.

Rang today left no message, rang my new orange sim? And no one had this number!

These jokers called me today addressing me as "Mr Steven" I said where are you calling from? He said "Nationwide" I said "Really? Well then you should know that in Britain nobody is Mr first name either just use their first name or Mr with their last name". This number called me and it turned out to be Southampton Audi arranging an MOT. It was odd that it showed up as as a Portsmouth area code though, maybe they use a call center now.

Text claiming to be Halifax Bank checking on unauthorised transaction.

I have had repeated call about 10 per day from the same number, 2 types of calls 1. as per above , that i owe money on credit cards 2. that the government has set up an scheme where they are freezing monthly interest payments on CC or store cards and if you have these cards you can just make a monthly payment to them instead . as i am a financial advisor i keep them talking for ages (appearing to be a bit non financial) after all it runs up their phone bill, then i wrap them in knots using my knowledge,

who is this and where did they get my number from?? i did get someone at the other end earlier today , they mumbled something, called me by a name then the line went dead. I can only assume that whoever was on the other end was a complete arsehole and i would not want to speak to him again anyway. time the authoroties got a grip with these cold callers and put a stop to it. telephone preference registration is a complete waste of time!!!

I had calls from this code in the past asking to do survey and also PPI. Now I recognise the code is from Manchester area and I just Ignore it.

Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily.
