A company called Motor Investigations telephoned me at 5.58pm on 6th Oct 2016. Supposedly calling regarding a claim in the past 12 months. (I ve not made a claim in the last 12 years!!). Incoming call at 14:19 18:05:17 as a BT text message It s a poor recorded message, the caller voice is female it states that the call is from the HMRC and advised that you should contact your solicitor or legal advisor and then goes on to threatens legal action if you fail to call back advising not ignore this call. This person phoned me and took an age to answer. When he did answer it sounded like me was chomping on an apple. Put the phone down on the arse wipe.
Think it’s a SCAM but didn’t listen for long enough to be 100% sure. An extremely thick accent that couldn’t speak very good English claiming to be from BT talking about problems with Internet access and slow connection.

The polite man with a Middlesbrough accent said my name was on the database and that it was possible that I was due money back from finance or credit in the past 10 years. Knowing that I have never had any insurance or anything connected to loans etc, I knew he was just fishing - so suggested this and he put the phone down. How he got my number is a mystery
No voicemail message left - presumably a scam. This may be unfair, but if you phone from a mobile and neglect to leave a voicemail it will be assumed that you are selling/scamming. Nobody answers unknown numbers these days.
