Definitely a scam. BT, Openreach, TalkTalk, Virgin etc., will never call you about a technical issue unless you contact them.

My husband has unfortunately been duped by this company - Clearview partnership. I ignore all calls coming into my landline number until the caller speaks. If no one speaks within a few seconds, I assume that I ve been called by an autodialler which is activated by the sound of my voice, and because I ve remained silent.... nothing happens, or I hang up. I then dial 1471 for the number and Google it. I never call any numbers they ve left for me to call. If they are too lazy to make any effort to contact me themselves.... then their call can t be that important!

Had the very same thing on this number 016188182004. Indian accent from a call centre, passed on to "manager". Told them them I knew what they were up to and that they were ringing from India. Don t give them any information and put the phone down.
