Spoke to "Dave" and to "John" who had so strong Indian accents, I think, and the background chatter in what was obviously a call centre that it was very hard to understand them. Caller claimed to be from “…mumbled words… breakdown service” and announced that “this call is about your renewal payment”. For the service I didn’t know I had.
Saying tax fraud case being brought against you
I believe this number is being used by scam callers. I received a text inviting me to call back, purporting to be from HSBC about a potential fraudulent payment. I would suggest that any recipient ignores any calls or texts from this number. Since it is a premium number any return calls will be outside normal free call packages. HSBC always use free call numbers if they request someone to call back.
Anyone getting calls from this number? I answer but no one is there and when I try call back I get no reply?
