Sounds really bad, but a friend told me to swear at them profusely, then they say if you continue we will have to hang up... So far it's worked.
Automat Had a call from this number today. It was automated, and stated that a warrant has been issued for my arrest for tax evation. Had to laugh, as I don't pay tax as I am retired. For anyone who believes these calls, it can be very worrying.

SCAM Claimed to be from Amazon regarding the renewal of our Amazon Prime subscription. Advised to "press 1 to cancel". Suspect this was fishing for our bank account number details. The call was soon followed by another from '01420 226 637'. The 'bot' hung-up when I answered, but did not say anything.

We have been called from this number by somebody claiming to be from British Gas, about an outstanding invoice. As out invoices are regularly paid on time, this is a scam to try and get card details for payment.

I was caught out by this today. They claimed to be calling from O2. Luckily, I realised after the call ended and was able to change my account details before any damage was done. The scammers knew all of my details - full name, address, email address, how much I'm billed each month - even my security question. They were very convincing. Had this call 11.30 today. Well spoken young man says " I hope i ve got the right number, can i speak to Mr (My Surname)". . .i ask which one as there are three Mr (My Surname) at this address. He then shouts something garbled down the phone and hangs up! 07712657744 is now well and truly BLOCKED!!
