Someone called me from this number at 0800 this morning (didn t hear it, I was in bed). Assume it is a scam call, I know no-one in Camarthen; I also live in Switzerland.

Found out it s a timeshare cold call based in Tenerife. What they actually do is speak as if they are talking to someone else saying I can t hear anyone on the other end of the line, eventually put the phone down and wait for the person to call them back, obviously at their own cost. So be warned and beware.

SCAM - Insurance Appliance Scammer - the insurance I had with them on several items (which I do not own) had expired and they needed payment from me. Obvious scammer but fun to wind up and hold them on the line (if you have the time to play)
I was caught out by this today. They claimed to be calling from O2. Luckily, I realised after the call ended and was able to change my account details before any damage was done. The scammers knew all of my details - full name, address, email address, how much I'm billed each month - even my security question. They were very convincing. Spoke to "Dave" and to "John" who had so strong Indian accents, I think, and the background chatter in what was obviously a call centre that it was very hard to understand them. Both assured me that they were not selling anything but asked lots of personal questions. Couldn t answer any of my questions other than they got my name and address from UK publically available database.
