The guy just went straight into a script, no explanation of why he was calling or what the company were about. I put the phone down, "Grants" and Windows were mentioned.

I got a call from this number, nobody spoke then the phone went dead.

Nasty threatening female voice spoke of unauthorised charge on my card , had previous one on International previously demanded I press certain buttons. Ignored

Tell them you want to buy something, put the phone on a table and get on with your day, washing dishes, reading the paper, listening to the radio, say something every now and again to keep them there, waste their time, waste their money, keep em hangin on. Very aggressive attempt to interest me in IVA arrangements. They say they are calling everyone over 18. I said that must be about 40 million people, and how do they know I m over 18. Recorded message saying it's HMRC telling that you have been named in a tax fraud case and if you don't press 1 immediately you will be arrested. Hang up, block the number and wait a very long time for someone to come and feel your collar. Pathetic examples of humanity operating these scams.
