I always receive most unknown telephone calls altogether over a 24 hour period and then get nothing for 1-2 weeks. This number called with message about "every house needs to be done by 2016" plus "we are in your area" last week - some solar panel scam. Didn t answer - the message is recorded on my answerphone. Same message from 01316483485 yesterday - same result. This lot have probably rented fake numbers from a major phone company which offers them on its web site. Some firms offer call centres numbers which give the person called the idea that it is a local call.

It is my BB provider and they ask me 2 charaters out of the security question I set up with them and my surname for data protection before discussing my account. I must say the person I spoke to was friendly and actually gave me a discount on my current deal, did not try n sell me more stuff which was good.

Just called my mobile. I didn t answer but checked the number online 01225 282329 to see who they were. Found this website and comments. Called them from a landline, immediately explained to person who answered that I d received a missed call, that I d checked them up online and didn t want any further calls, and to remove my mobile number from their calling list. The man who answered was responsive immediately, polite and asked for my mobile number. Fingers crossed ....

Cold calling telemarketing; constant repeated calls despite answering tha not interested but they don t seem to get hint or react to stop the harressment.
