Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily. I had placed an ad on gumtree selling a pram . The above person txt me from ?+44 141 280 7229? and ?+44 114 359 9246? saying they wanted to buy the pram and for me to email them on [email?protected] I did then they said they had cancer and that would be sending an agent for the pram once they had paid me via PayPal. I got suspicious and then found out this is a scam

silent until I said hello, then a high-pitched strongly-accented female, asking to speak to the home-owner. I just kept saying hello, as though I couldn t hear her, after 3 attempts she gave up.

Had the very same thing on this number 016188182004. Indian accent from a call centre, passed on to "manager". Told them them I knew what they were up to and that they were ringing from India. Don t give them any information and put the phone down.

Just put a brand spanking new SIM in my phone and a few hours later I get a call from Bolton. I didn t answer but so far they ve called me almost every day, usually after 11am (I work nights so not happy).

Had a call from 01497 874850. From BT Openreach regarding untrustworthy downloads from Facebook / Google. Wanted me to connect to a page on internet to check security has not been compromised. When challenged (ie no problems noticed, I would not connect to any page while on the phone - I would contact BT myself), they hung up. Obvious telemarketing / scamming.
