Someone called Rose Mark, trying to buy a new xbox from me. Said she'd sent payment but I received an email from 'Natwest' saying the funds would go into my bank once I sent a tracking number. I rang my bank, it's a scam. The email came from [email protected] when I confronted her with what my bank had advised her WhatsApp profile disappeared!

Sent a text message first, saying they were from BT and would give me a call. The caller had a strong indian accent, and informed that my internet had been compromised, possibly by overseas third parties. asked me to go through various tests ie logging onto my tesco account, and checking my bank statements. When i refused to do so, the caller got a little shirty, asking what was the basis for this? Then threatened to disconnect my line. when I told her she couldn't do that, as my bills were paid regularly

I am actually having some fun coming up new put down lines before they hang up -"No I am not Mr X I am Father Christmas -have you been a good boy ?" or better still " yes I would like to answer your questions but first can you tell me what you are wearing ? Fraud. A text message, which reads: "HSBC. A new payee request was created from an unrecognised device. You can authorise or cancel this request and then there is a website that looks legitimate but clearly isn't." That was a text message at 10:50 am today 08 deb 2021.
