SCAM -07833 168742 – Received text message Tuesday 2/2/2021 to mobile with restricted communication, alleging to be from PayPal claiming the account was to be restricted. Furthermore one has had immense difficulty in logging in and being repeatedly thrown out. This appears to be the precursor to being hacked, even though there was no response by me. Somebody asking for me by name about insuranace. Asked how they got my detail and they said it was open data. Odd, as the number is with TPS. Reported to ICO for what it is worth as they have no right to call.
This number is just one of the many I receive during the course of the day.Whoever they are they couldn t care less about peoples privacy.This surely started with the PPI fiasco and their unwanted calls, about time the goverment stepped in and helped stop it.
