Silent call, I think the scam is for you to call them back at inflated call costs to call the number. No one ever answers you after you pick up but you can hear that there is some one on the other end of the line as they initially say hello. Deffo a scam!!!

Fraud. Pretending to call from HMRC. Didn't know my name. Told them if they're calling from HMRC the least they should know is my name. Call was supposedly from Liverpool too, not a Liverpudlian accent to be heard.

Receiving calls about boiler replacement every couple of days and I am now about to put it on my Truecall machine. The best ?100 I ever spent. I seldom get nuisance cals these days but as soon as I have time I Google them to check authenticity, then put them on the Truecall if not trusted. I am hard of hearing, most know this and I seldom get calls now unless important.

02392 910896 number called saying he (indian sounding - and partially broken english) was from Sky (my ISP) asking if I noticed flucktuating BB speeds. I said no, and he went on to tell me why they were. Argued that they wern't. I asked him if he knew that I was suffering from slower internet speeds from what I was paying, then (as he was from Sky) he should be able to tell me what internet speeds I should be getting. A scam. Rang before 8.30am this morning, Automated message about switching off your broadband due to illegal/illicit use. Caught me off guard as I am waiting for messages from hospital about a seriously ill relative. These people are scum.
