Fraud/SCAM Pretends to be Revolut, they knew my name, home address and email address used with Revolut. Claimed my card ending NNNN was added to new device, tried to get more information. When I asked how do I know they are Revolut, they said I can check number at the back of the card. Wanted to confirm my last transaction - if I shared information they would be able to possibly attempt access recovery on my account. The caller number can be easily spoofed. This number has been hijacked and is being used by someone other than the company it belongs to. Virgin media are working to resolve the issue but seem to be quite slow!
I received a number of cold calls from 4420 8086 2676, and now they have started from this new number, also registered in London but what sounds like a Malaysian call centre.
As per previous comments I never answer 0845 numbers as I object to being asked about my "recent car accident " "debt" etc. If I want help I will seek it. So much for the telephone preference service for mobiles!
