Claimed to be from Openreach saying my IP address was now public blah blah blah. so i hung up!

Call female voice reporting that my internet connection was in danger of being disconnected. Suggested I connect to someone who could help me. I hung up.

Recorded message threatening large debit from bank account (£700). Amazon mentioned in call. Almost certainly a scam. Actual number 07448-410-752.

He asked my name and verified my address. Funny thing is, my electric bill is in a family members name. This number is used to scam people out if money on Whats App. It will pretend to be a family member and ask you to talk on What’s App only and then ask to lend money for Christmas presents because they have been locked out of their banking app. Always ask for information that will verify that you are actually talking to your family member or they will play a clever game and scam you out if your cash. They tried to get £940 off me!! This has been reported to What’s App.
