A indian man called "Michael" rang saying he was from my television company, and he was going to reduce my repair and maintenance insurance for my television from ?7 to ?5. He then checked my name and address and was going to transfer my to his manager to take my payment details! What a load of rubbish and a scam! Michael said I was selected in the area as I was a senior citizen! what a scam. I hung up, but please warn elderly friends or family. thank you.

Phoning wanting to sell advertising space in a fake mag for charity something to do with children in Cumbria. Have been scammed before by these lot when set up my other business.

Same here - no idea who they are or how they got my mobile number

Would not tell me what they wanted, they said it was in regards to a debt but would not let me continue the call without giving them my full address which I refused obviously. Would not tell me the nature of the debt either.

applied for loan online. received loads of ph calls & sms claiming they can sort loan, just ph them to proceed. same as other people are commenting, you get given another number to ph, which is 09no. told cost of call will be refuunded, & loan never materialises. Obviously a scam, got be fair though all seemed very genuine in beginning. glad i looked into it in more detail. 1 to avoid in future, have now blocked number

Received a call from this number. I told them I am not interested and i hung up. It seems they hi-jacked my phone as I couldn't make any calls or go on the internet.

0121 400 0443 asking me to play Euromillions. Where did they get my phone number from??

Got text addressing me by name and saying as existing Sky customer (I am) they could reduce monthly cost whilst keeping current package. Req reply for call back. Treating as scam.

Third time today (12/02/14) when I answered the phone, Silence, then they cut off the call.

Just had a silent call from this number. Tried calling back, but got a message to say it does not exist!

Called 3 times this weekend. No message left and no voice heard when I answered the third call.

Turns out it's the Federation of Small Businesses. They call you if you started to fill out an application but didn't complete it.

A classic Boiler Room cold call scam. The caller claimed to be from a financial company offering investment opportunities to high net worth individuals. He would go away when I said "No"; so I hung up and blocked his number.

This number as been calling me for months so I decided to answer it they said they were reviewing my life in surance policy took some details off me then passed me to another person he didn t have a clue what he was talking about I got very suspicious of what he was saying so I ended the call not happy with the questions they were asking me be very careful with this number

yesterday i was looking to move broadband providers and entered my phone number on EE site. I did not g give them permission to call me!

Called my landline today but didnt get through because of my call guardian phones.

I hate unknown numbers but they called me and when I answered tey slammed the phone down.
