This number called my landline on the 10th of December at 11.18 I answered and said "This number no longer receives incoming calls" as I have had calls before from this number and know it is a scam. The number called again and the 11th December 11.31, 12th December 9.53 14th December 16.40 and again 15th December 15.33 again I answered with the message I had said before. getting fed up with it now.

Caller was trying to make me transfer money to his company.. obviously fake. Good ol Nigerian lies.. i was called by +441582-500140. It s a known strategy to make people transfer money, with the promise that they will get even more money back.

While I was unavailable this number called. Not at first recognising it, I was about to return the call out of courtesy. Then I checked, and realised it was the p.p.i. criminals yet again. My wife answered the phone, and an apparently recorded message said that there was a suspicious transaction involving a £300 bill from Amazon which had not been paid. Then she was asked to press some number at which point she ended the call. I found the callers number by using 1471. The call appears to be a scam.

Said they were Mcafee support, handling issue relating to our home "network" which would mean all devices using network (he meant router) would shortly become infected and stop working. Wanted £200 to fix, as our Mcafee didn't cover "network". Said we'd call back and given this number. Subsequently checked with Currys who support some of our tech who confirmed it's a scam
