SCAM - Automated call from a Warwickshire number claiming that my Amazon account had been fraudulently used to purchase an Apple iphone 11. I only use it to purchase Kindle ebooks. Don't even be tempted to press 1 out of curiosity you'll either get charged a hefty fee on your landline phone bill, or speak to someone who will put the fear of god into you, convince you this is real, get you to disclose your true card details or even manage to get your internet banking log on details from you!
26.06.16 had text then call to my mobile then call to my office all asking me to confirm a particular transaction. Immediately thought it was fraudulent but on contacting my bank directly was told this is genuine call from TSB. Advised me to call the number which I did only to be spoken to by someone who I could barely understand. Was then advised that they were very busy at the moment and that someone would call back within 24 hours. Checked my online banking and no transaction of that value appeared so it
