The "Do Not Call List" is only effective against legal firms that have a legal footprint where they can be prosecuted. "The Caller Id" means nothing because they can type in anything they want, for ant or every phone call, so there s no legal significants to it. 1st had a text sent to my land-line late last night, saying thank-you for going with Action direct PPI, I ignored it thinking it was a wrong number & I d not had any contact with this company. Now - - it s only 12:05hrs & I ve had 3 calls with no one @ the other end,damned if I m wasting my time waiting for an operator.

Dead giveaway when she said she was calling from the Microsoft Windows centre (or something that sounded similar). Heard from them before. Waste of time, scam and bogus.

This number has called me twice this afternoon, it was a missed call as they called me whilst I was at work. They didn’t leave me any voicemail message so I’m just assuming it was some kind of sales call, which I wouldn’t have answered anyway. I’ve looked it up and the number is from the centre of London. I’ve absolutely no idea who it’s from, but as there’s no message it can’t be important.

They said they were Consumer Benefits - didn't let them progress the call - asked them to take my number off and put phone down.

When I answered it it cut off. Rang back and it said no such number

Caller claimed I had been in an accident - when I told her I ve never been in one in my life she went on to ask details of the accident had to hang up.

This number called me today and asked for me by name. Line was quiet for 3 seconds after I said hello and the person spoke sounded like a male with a funny voice so probably used some equipment to diguise their real voice to sound posh. After they said my name I replied "Cor you sound really posh how you doing?" Then they hung up. Would have kept call going longer but I had things to do so couldn t continue.
