There have been a few today - getting fed up with these scammers ringing constantly. They must be getting very strapped for cash to keep trying to defraud 'unsuspecting' people!! Claimed to be Virgin Money asking questions about a credit card! Very suspicious
Claimed to be from "Alba Services", saying that "money has been allocated" for improving energy efficiency in homes. Told me that they got the phone number from a "homeowner database" but wouldn t give any further info. It must be a crap database as this is a newsagents shop.... Chancing scammers.
Automated debt relief call - I hung up too soon to find out the name of the company. I ve no patience for this rubbish. I, too, am TPS registered - and my details are not listed on the version of the electoral register available for purchase, either. I suppose this shows how much good either does in preventing junk calls. I keep my landline unplugged when not in use as I receive so many PPI calls on that!
Please report silent or abandoned calls to OFCOM and cold calls to the ICO (if you are already registered with the TPS). After a few people have informed here that the caller is...
