Called a few times, I picked up on the 3rd time because I've never had a strange number call so much. Said they were from my provider and wanted to thank me for my loyalty but also wanted me to confirm several details about myself so he could tell me about some special offers. I saw no reason to answer him as I didn't want a new phone, nor was I sure he was even legitimate.

Everyone can relax. I just called the PO Helpline and a very helpful, patient and pleasant lady told me that this *is* a legitimate POTelephones offer. They are offering a bill reduction for long-term customers, a sort of loyalty bonus. I got the number of their helpdesk off of my latest bill, so *that* is almost certainly legitimate. This is another number that I think has been made up by the Talk Talk fakers. If anyone called it they would probably find it did not exist but I am not going to bother. I have had so many of these calls I immediately knew who it was when I answered.
