I had this number, and all i do is turn my landline on silent and only use it as a one way call, and if someone gives you a rough time of calling you, you will see the light go on when they are calling or use the landline as a one way, calling out and your mobile to take calls, you can get phones that block numbers, and only let the ones you want through. Female caller with an Asian accent rang from this number twice today. Said she was from Benefits UK. I asked who Benefits UK is, and she replied "A company", and wanted to ask me some questions, which would only take a couple of minutes. I replied that I do not answer questions over the phone, and she hung up. A couple of hours later, the number rang again, and my daughter answered. She told the caller that our number is ex directory and that we are TPS registered. Again, the caller hung up.

I refused further information on the grounds that BT already have my address and was given some unbelievable story about my mobile number having come up in some other context. These ****s call me EVERY day, sometimes twice a day, despite me telling them not tonand asking to have my no. removed from their database. They know Ive made some kind of claim. Her insurer MUST have sold my no. illegally (data protection). Sadly i didnt keep the insurer s details.

SCAM Saying they are calling from sky about my slow broadband speed, considering I'm not with sky i decided to keep them talking until I got bored the told the to f$%€ off, they called back a few hours later with the same crap, and continuously kept ringing until i picked up the phone, I.told them in my best Indian accent to f%%% off bloody b@$%/÷$ and I will kill them... not heard back yet

In the end, curiosity got the better of me just in case it was genuine and I phoned it from my Skype account. It didn t connect - but it did take ?2 (yes TWO POUNDS) off my Skype credit.
