Caller alleged to be with HMRC and was very threatening. I feel sure this was a scam call.
Very rude, called me and said I was in debt , I asked where they got information and they hung up on me saying forget it not worth it then verbal abuse before hanging up.

Female caller, said she was calling about our BT account (we don't have one) then said it was because all lines are operated by Open Reach. Wanted to 'test the line' and see if we qualified for a discount. Finally said she was calling from One-Com. All very suspicious.
The people on the other end of this phone have confirmed by letter they are delivering me a phone on 23rd August 2012 and that my current phone will be switched off on 26th. I am now receiving phone calls telling me I am entitled to a free upgrade and cheaper phone rate. Tried on two occasions to get a better deal at the end of my 24 month contract, not offered anything worth staying for especially after being a customer for 10 + years. I requested PAC via online chat as others did commenting here. Very painful experience, given the hard sell from retention team and then made very awkward to extract PAC number from them. Subsequently they rang me on said number begging for me to return ? Too late! I wouldn?t go back if it was free.

As of writing, 3 different numbers tried to call me today (020 8956 2943, 020 8956 2230 and 020 8956 2601). They all start with 020, I don’t know anyone who owns those numbers, maybe the same individual is using different numbers to call me. Likely a fraud and now it’s harassing.
