SCAM This looked like a local number BUT it was a recorded message purporting to come from Amazon about a sizeable sum taken from my account for an order and to press 1 if it wasn't me who made the order. Needless to say I hung up without pressing any numbers.

Had a phone number twice from slightly differing numbers but both commencing 07808166. Recorded msg informing me that my NI number has been compromised and to key 1 before legal proceedings are taken against me!!! Needless to say I just hung up - has anyone else received these calls?

Scam caller, called me from different numbers every day for about two weeks. All new numbers that aint yet on sites like this. They are called lifestyle living or something like that. Just want to ask your 3 questions Sir... So I instead gave him 3 words. I got caught off guard about 3-4 years ago and answered there questions. Inundated with begging callers and so forth from then on. Annoying really....

They called me and knew my name and address. Wanted to confirm this was me saying they wanted to send me a former for a tax over payment. They said they were HMRC and as they already had my detail and even pronounced my name right which surveys calls never do, I said send me the firm. Still not arrived. If HMRC it would come quickly and in their official brown envelop. Sceptical.

Amanda from Safety Guide asking for one of our colleagues by his first name only. I asked what it was regarding & she claimed that he agreed in March to sponsor some books for local schools. I checked with the colleague in question & he confirmed that he hadn t agreed. I advised her of this & told her that when i googled her number it was linked to nuisance calls to businesses claiming to have supported books for local schools. When I answered the call the guy said Hi this is UK Advice Centre, how are you? I asked what the call was regarding and the line was disconnected. Obviously looking for a less inquisitive person!

SCAM / SPAM They say you are being investigated for a tax fraud - please press 1 to connect to the tax officer! It’s from a libe originating in Derby.
Recorded message received today stating that unauthorised payment of £500 taken from my debit card and sent abroad. Options given to press 1 if I knew about the transaction and to press 2 if I didn't. Ended the call without pressing any option. This njumber needs to be reported immediately and the number investigated.
