Caller left no message and was a very short ring. I was curious, as I know a couple of people in Leeds, so I called the number. No such number exists, so I have now blocked

The people on the other end of this phone have confirmed by letter they are delivering me a phone on 23rd August 2012 and that my current phone will be switched off on 26th. Had a call from this number offering to block unwanted and had done some homework about where I live generally etc Ended up correctly quoting a couple of digits from my debit ...

Had a couple of calls but not answered them - as I don't know who it is!!!!

They left a message on my machine, saying they were calling for "Stephen Michaels & Associates", as far as I could understand and that I should return the call if this was Mr. "X". I wasn t, so I just deleted the message. Haven t heard from them since.

The caller hung up after a few rings, I didn t have time to get to the phone, so rang the number which 1471 gave me. Result - "Sorry, this number has not been recognised"

Recorded message saying it's HMRC telling that you have been named in a tax fraud case and if you don't press 1 immediately you will be arrested. Hang up, block the number and wait a very long time for someone to come and feel your collar. Pathetic examples of humanity operating these scams.
