Phone rang, it was a BT forwarding number, but we didn't answer. Surprisingly a message was left saying 797300982, call when you get this message. I checked all my contacts for their email numbers and this wasn't amongst them, so I have no idea who or what it is. I haven't called back and don't intend to. Any genuine person would have left their name or just rung us on either our landline or mobile 'phone. It's very annoying if scammers are now using BT to forward text messages.
The caller on this number said I owed £750 on my Amazon account which I don’t have and asked me to press 1 which I did not do.

Claimed that I was an loyal O2 customer (I have 2 O2 PAYG numbers with a total credit of 9p and the number they called on has not yet had it's first top up) and wanted to find me the best tariff, more professional than most, but still a scam
calls today, say they are from BT and it was about my internet connection, (I am not with BT) told they to go away in my best Scots tongue, then got a third call that a female just said Goodbye, I think it was blocked by BT.

Had a missed call from this number today. They rang me a couple of weeks ago re PPI. I told them I wasn t interested & not to call again!! I asked how they got my number... They said from an online comparison site!! I used a comparison site back in November last year to compare car insurance. So be careful what info you give out especially phone numbers. They are a nuisance! If you cant block their number just don t answer to them & hopefully they ll get the message.

When I answered it, there was nobody there, I was very shaken by this as I immediately thought something was wrong in the family as it was so late. My phone displays a caller list and I called the number this morning, a message said "the number you have dialled has not been recognised", how can this happen?
