One of those calls that say nothing and then click off - some spammers or rip off merchants I would think - trying to have you claim back your PPI for the back accident you had ...

Found out it s a timeshare cold call based in Tenerife. What they actually do is speak as if they are talking to someone else saying I can t hear anyone on the other end of the line, eventually put the phone down and wait for the person to call them back, obviously at their own cost. So be warned and beware.

Someone called me from this number at 0800 this morning (didn t hear it, I was in bed). Assume it is a scam call, I know no-one in Camarthen; I also live in Switzerland.

I received a call from this number just now. He said he was from a company called Technical Help Service and told me my computer had a virus. He tried to convince me using various methods including running the eventvwr (the errors listed there are not related to viruses!) This is identical to the well known Windows Technical Helpdesk scam. Recruitment agency that kept ringing and leaving voicemails every few minutes. Pushy and unwanted. One call and voicemail would be sufficient .Wouldnt deal with any company like this.
