I received a call from a man with a very strong accent claiming to be from BT to help speed up our broadband. The fact that he greeted me saying ?hi I?m Martin? then 5 minutes later told me his name was John Wilson, was a huge red flag. I can confirm that this is a scam call number as I called the real BT to confirm the number was not affiliated with them. Do not give out any information or allow these scammers access to your computer!

This number rang twice within 15 mins. they didn't speak English but they knew our name.

Sick of this lot calling and then leaving a long blank voicemail and just voices in the background. Have blocked several numbers from this lot and I am registered with the preference service so they are acting illegal too

I did not catch the name of the company but they reported Ihad been in an RTA and asked me to confirm. I asked them to confirm the date and they refused so I explained that I had short term memory loss and they would have to remind me when it happened. They put the phone down!!

They ring up every week asking if you?ve updated your gas and electric meters to smart meters. I have with another company but if I say that they go on to ask about who it?s with etc. Don?t know about trustworthiness or not because I?ve never heard of their company other than them calling me. I tell them I?m not interested and they still call. Now I just hang up. I have been called several times yesterday back to back from firstly a London number twice, then twice from private number and this one today. They all start by saying am I ****** when I ask who they are they mumble something then ask me if I own or rent my property. The person who called today was female and I could actually understand what she said, except for the initial mumble. The first two London calls where listed as suspected spam, however, some of calls in this category have been bona fide.
