We have been receiving a large number of calls since last Wednesday from various scared and vulnerable people thinking this is true. We have now had to change our phone number to stop the calls. this is co-op bank fraud dept asking if a transaction made on the internet last night was correct and made by myself. it asks to reply yes or no. if no then they call you to discuss. if yes they let payment continue. I am with the bank so all ok as far as i am concerned. they do not ask for your details in the text so beware anyone copying this text and asking for your name and details

This call was from EE broadband. I had been on the website and the day later they gave me a call. They couldnt leave a note on the account as i wasnt a customer with them currently. but they directed me to the official ee website where it showed me the numbers that are associated with EE and it was there. I even called the number back and it said we was called today by EE. They also sent me a text from EE also to put me at ease. Really helpful Hull staff and answered all the questions i had about joining. N

Scammer. Jasmine claimed to be from EON calling about smart meters from 08085015200, but my phone data confirmed the actual number she called from was 02922229992. When challenged she simply claimed "that is odd" but could not explain it. She was unable to advise whether RF filtering and VPN protection were provide on the smart meters, and could not confirm who paid for the cost of the smart meter connection.
