Some person claiming to be from o2 offering me a 40% discount on my monthly phone bill.......due to covid 19!!!! I played along for a couple of minutes & they sent text message codes which someone could genuinely assume was from o2 as they had security warnings advising not to give the code out etc but when I said I was going to run her through some security questions & asked her the 1st line of my address they hung up. Automated call advising there had been a breach of security of my national insurance number on the welsh boarder with options to press 1 etc. I hung up. Report to .GOV who are aware of this scam!

Purported to be Virgin Media reviewing your account to provide the best possible service. They fail on DPA/GDPR as don't seem to understand the principles of validating they are speaking to the account holder. They don't have access to account information such as account numbers, billing area codes etc.
Something about someone having an accident in our house in the last two years. Said a goldfish had jumped out a pond and died. They hung up.
