Claimed to be from BT. Had detected strange goings-on on line. Wanted me to be put through to an executive.
Not sure if it's SPAM or a SCAM but a lady barely speaking English tries to convince to buy 'Crypto Coins' because they can 'make you very very rich'.
The caller introduced as from Revenue and Customs and says there is a tax fraud case registered under my name. The message seemed to be a pre-recorded one. They wanted me to press option numbers but i hung up.
Called my mobile regarding an accident I had that was not my fault. Asked where got info from & she said National Accident Statistics. Said info is wrong not had accident fault or non fault as don t even drive & she said will removed my name from their database - but I doubt she will though

They then managed to trigger the Amazon reset password text message and pressured me to give me that code to them, presumably so that they could take control of my Amazon account. SCAM number that asks you to press one and tell you that you have a warrent and the police are gonna get you. HMRC are aware of this and advise people not do press anything.
Indian accent man, all he did was asking me yes/no questions... like, are you ____? is ____ your postcode? have you got a mortgage? are you happy with your bank? After I replied to his questions he said ok have a lovely day an hung up... which I found weird. Unfortunately, it was until he hung up that I realised he might have been recording my yes/no answers to use this for any sort of identity fraud or scam... Im very scared now and don t know what to do
