Some weirdo called me three times in eight days and left strange messages.

I keep receiving calls from this number despite blocking it - they sometimes phone up to five times a day! They always ask for Andrew, the idiot who must have mistyped his mobile number when downloading a report or who knows what from this "financial" crowd. I ve asked them politely to remove my number from their database ... to no avail. I ve said I m going to report them to the police if they keep calling me, which usually makes them put down the phone if I don t beat them to it!

Drearily irritating is the fact that unknown numbers are always about PPI which I have never sought. Please leave me alone

I suffer from amnesia due to an accident I had in the last two years. The person that called me brought the horrendous memories back. Constant missed calls for a week. I answered and it was a polite lady from Vodafone trying to sell me something. She knew my name as I am a customer. When I said I was busy she said she will call back another time. This number does not appear on the Vodafone authorised numbers list although it is only one digit out from a lot of their numbers.
