Missed call I suspect attempted scam. I’m getting a rush of varied timeshare scam call from varied mobile numbers, this looks like the latest attempt. I usually just clear and block when sure it’s not a genuine call but recently I spoke to one and was terse so might have got myself flagged for more aggressive attention, or maybe I’m just paranoid. I’ve recently changed mobile provider and any mobile/insurance/holiday activity seems to provoke a spate of these which makes me wonder about corruption and d
SCAM They will send you a message saying they’re the NHS and you’ve been in close contact with someone who has recently tested positive for omicron and should follow the link sent to get a test. Do not follow the link as it will be a scam and try and steal your information etc when you put it in.

SCAM received several phone calls via WhatsApp demanding payment for providing a service befor anything would be done. Lady admitted was of German origin and was ringing from Bournemouth. Payment was to be via PayPal or Amazon gift cards only, on refusal became more aggressive.
This number has been calling for well over a year. If you pick up its not answered but sounds like something may happen like a message. I don't wait for that I hang up before. If you try to hang up what dialling, it doesn't work!! Bastards, but OK it's a freephone number but it doesn't do anything useful just block it. It's a waste of battery.

Fraud Call centre, pretend to be "running security" for Virgin Broadband, call to say they have "seen problems on the line". When I told them I wasn't on Virgin, they waffle on about how they do the security for all broadband suppliers, because Virgin supplies the lines for them all. I told them I was on Grain, and then they just imediately hung up. Obvious fraud scam.

The number was in an email which said it was from a friend (who I've not been in contact with for years) , asking for "help", but it was very much like another email I had just received from someone else saying he was a friend but that was spam. Phoned this afternoon. An automated voice declared that it was a call from "security at your bank", so at least the scammer doesn't even know which bank he is supposed to pretend to be. Allegedly, two probably fraudulent card transactions had been detected, one for £300 to Amazon and one of a transfer abroad of £1,100. A menu of options was read out, at which point I hung up.
